Coder Royale 2010

This year at ICUC, NICE CXone was proud to host the Second Annual Coder Royale competition.  The Coder Royale is an opportunity to show how incredibly versatile our platform can be, but more importantly, it is an opportunity for NICE CXone to see the talents of our customers.  This year’s challenge was: Use our platform and any form of social media. Go ahead, WOW us.

Part of the challenge of Coder Royale, in addition to asking our customers to get creative, is that the participants only had two days to build, test, and turn in their solution. The Coder Royale reinforces a belief that we have here at NICE CXone: If we give our customers great tools, they can do amazing things.

Some of the best minds in contact center cloud development competed, making it very difficult for our judging panel to determine a winner. But in the end, our winner was Kevin Carroll, Director of IT at Frontline Call Center.

At first glance, Kevin’s solution to our challenge is simple. Kevin used the NICE CXone platform to bring audio recordings to Facebook. He created a powerful script that allowed any user to record a voice message and then have that message posted to their wall on Facebook. His solution WOWed us, and won him the Coder Royale crown, trophy and $500 cash.
