Finally, there is an equation for the perfect handshake…check it out! There is even a training poster for it. A face to face customer interaction frequently involves a handshake. So, it isn’t a surprise to find out that there is research around perfecting this initial interaction. Too bad it is in the hands of car salesmen.
The handshake equivalent of our contact center agents is the greeting, usually something ordinary like, “Thank you for calling, how may I help you?” The initial greeting is a pretty crucial part of the interaction for millions of contacts. So, I have to ask…has anyone developed the perfect greeting for contact center agents? If not, we should get on it. Any takers?
