Canada's CASL Slams SPAM

Nobody likes SPAM: neither the annoying-to-malicious email practice, nor the kinda-sorta

meat product from a can. While there is little the Canadian government can do about the canned meat, they are taking sweeping legislative action against the email variety.

The Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation goes into effect on July 1, 2014 and will “help to protect Canadians while ensuring that businesses can continue to compete in the global marketplace”. Learn more about what this law will do, and how, by reading the Fast Facts.

So, what does this mean to you, the Canadian NICE customer?  First, you will be receiving an email that looks like the image at the bottom of this post.

Secondly, you may have received the message even if you are not based in Canada. If so, we would like to verify your location for our database. Simply click the email response button to ensure we have complete information. We apologize for any inconvenience our "better safe than sorry" approach may cause you.

Unfortunately, and unintentionally ironic, this email has raised some suspicion amongst our customers as being SPAM… NO WORRIES! This email is entirely legitimate and very important--especially for Canadian NICE customers. Simply follow the “CLICK HERE” link to grant us access to remain (pun alert) in contact.

Thank you very much for your attention to this matter and please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. CASL email
