Hold the Cheese - and the Customer Service

They say things are funny when they’re true. That must be why an old Mad TV spot had me rolling on the floor laughing. If you haven’t seen the King Burger sketch, you’re missing one of the greatest statements on customer service.

The spot revolves around an employee at King Burger who is part of the company’s Out of the Hood program. Suffice it to say, Bon Qui Qui doesn’t provide any level of customer service to her patrons – and in fact tries to have the majority arrested for such outrages as ordering a shake, forgetting to ask for cheese, and interrupting her personal cell phone call.

We’ve all heard about the importance of customer service. Sometimes it’s nice to have a reminder that the way an employee interacts with customers can make the difference between keeping and losing a customer.
